This school was established in 1971 as a vocational school at the Meat Products Factory in £uków. In the school year 1971/1972 140 students attended this school. They were trained as shoemakers, butchers and technicians of food technology. At the beginning, in this school adults were also educated.

Throughout the following years it has changed many times. In 1993 it was transformed into Technical school and in 1997 comprehensive secondary school was established. In the same year the school was moved to a new building in Warszawska Street where it has been up till the present moment.

Our school educates girls and boys aged 16 – 19 intellectually and morally. Its purpose is to prepare young people for university, college studies and work. We are proud of our rich history and beautiful tradition.

The school has a very rich and interesting offer. You can study here at general secondary school, technical  or vocational school. Students attend school form Monday to Friday. They learn many subjects, for example History, Math, History, Biology, Chemistry, Geography Foreign Languages, Economy, PE, IT, Religious Education and Practical Training. There are 46 teachers and 12 administrative officers. Students learn in 12 ordinary classrooms and three computer classrooms with audiovisual equipment. They also have lessons in an analytic laboratory, the gym and playground. We also have a library with a rich collection of publications.
The teachers with the headmaster in charge are quite demanding but still nice. Challenging expectations inspire the individual student to achieve high personal and academic goals. Apart form teachers there is a pedagogue, nurse,  the Commissioner for the rights of the students and other people who take care of students’ mind, health, safety and school facilities.

The school provides extra classes in:

• Acting (the theatre group)

Our students take part in many competitions and tournaments. We have cups and awards. We have also started cooperation with a similar school abroad within entwining project. We hold a label of the etwining project.

Apart from learning we have also for fun. There are many school academies on important for us days and school parties ( e.g. a prom for final grade’s students)
